Written Works & Revision Guidelines

GENERAL RULES

• ALL prices are non-negotiable 
• ALL completed projects are non-refundable
• Consultation calls are non-refundable
• %50 down-payment required on all non-Upwork funded projects
• Full remaining payment required within 3 days of delivery  
• Payment of current chapter required before moving on to the next one
• Failure to provide on-time payment will result in payment dispute or cancellation of project

REVISION/EDIT GUIDELINES

Each project/chapter purchased includes up to 3 revisions/edits (per project/chapter). Additional revisions can be requested at $5 per minor revision and $15 per major revision. See below for details.

Minor Revision: 

Price: $5 (includes up to 5 of the following)  

• Changing/rewording lines or dialogue
• Adding/deleting lines or dialogue

Major Revision: 

Price: $15 (includes up to 2 of the following)  

• Rewriting an entire scene (up to 25 lines)
• Adding/deleting an entire scene (may interfere with story flow) 
• Changing previously-introduced character/place names
• Adding/deleting choices (applies to visual novels)

*Basic edits (spelling/grammar/punctuation/formatting) are free

Full Chapter Revision:

The price for revision of an entire chapter will be equal to the full price of the regular chapter you have purchased. 

*Guidelines regarding adherence to storyline may apply. Revision requests that interfere with the overall story flow may not be accepted. (Case-by-case basis - contact to negotiate). Please contact to negotiate revisions of greater length, or revisions that do not fit into either category.  

CONSULTING

Have a Story Plot, but not sure how you want it to end? Have no story, and want someone to develop an original plot for you? Not sure what you want at all?

Price: $50/30 min  

New Client Special

If you decide to work with me after our call, half of your consulting price (that's $25!) will be applied as credit to your project total! That's $25 off!  

*Must complete project with me to qualify. For ongoing projects (ie, 10-chapter story), credit will be applied to final chapter (or project total if paying in full up front)

Past/Current Client Special

Past and current clients may schedule a call with me for 50% off.

GHOST WRITING vs ORIGINAL STORY 

What's the difference?

Ghost Writing  

Recommended if you already have a general story concept (beginning, middle, and end) and just need help arranging the story flow. Story Plot purchase not required for Ghost Writing Projects if you already have your own plot outline.  

(Fees for outline revisions may apply).    

Original Stories 

Recommended if you have no content and need help deciding the entire theme/plot/flow of a story. Story Plot purchase required before you may purchase Chapters (as Chapters are written based on the Story Plot). No exceptions.  

(To use your own story plot, please refer to Ghost Writing).    

*IMPORTANT: Non-refundable 50% deposit required for all Story Plots.  

You will be shown a draft before the final project is issued to determine if you will be satisfied with the complete outline.  

TRANSLATION REVISIONS

Basic Revisions: Free

Basic edits (spelling/grammar/punctuation/formatting/incorrect name or pronoun)

Inaccuracy Revisions: Free

Revisions based on my own inaccuracy (for example, incorrect wording, interpretation, or nuance)

Styling Revisions: $5 (per paragraph; up to 5 lines)

Revisions based on styling (ie, client simply does not like the way I word something, despite its accuracy/relevancy)
